Would love some advice on this rather strange problem...?

I posted a question a few days ago, that read:

';Late period-by 3weeks.Have recently taken cipro for urinary infection, was blood, now no period.?

I have not had my period since coming off the ciproxin (I took it for 8 days), have had sex, sometimes without protection but carefully (Im sure you know what I mean). I am not sure whether my period came when I took the medicine as there was bleeding too, but it was different bleeding, thinner and not so much. My last period ended 20.08.09. Please help!';

I still have not had my period, and it is almost a whole month late now. I went into town today and bought 2 pregnancy tests (I did actually take one earlier, when my period was one week late and it read not pregnant - but I have had sex since then). One was a clearblue one, and the other a cheaper one which can detect low quantities ofthe pregnancy hormone, and so you can use it any time of the day (although if I am pregnant there should be quite high levels of the pregnancy hormones in my urine by now, I would have thought). I have tried it just now, the cheap one, and it read ';not pregnant';. Is there something wrong with me? I will try the other one tomorrow morning, but I am a bit worried and thinking that if the other also reads';not positive';, I should go and see a doctor. What do you think? I am 20 years old, and my periods have never really been irregular.

Any opinions would be appreciated! ThanksWould love some advice on this rather strange problem...?
Go to your doctor. Have him do a blood pregnancy test.

Don't panic. Lot of medications can mess up your cycle. But it hasn't been 4 weeks since your last period yet. I just went through a similar situation, and it seems its because I changed a lot of my habits and medications around.

Also, buy condoms. Not only will they stop the fear of pregnancy, but the will also prevent STDs. Even ';careful'; sex without a condom can spread disease.
