I am a senior, the girl is a junior. I have never talked to her, but recently she told two of my friends that she thought I was cute. She had to have known that they would relay the info. to me. I didnt do anything about it during the last two weeks of school, becuase everyone found out and made a big deal out of it. Now Seniors have just got out of school for the summer, so I wont see her again unless i initiate it. I have a feeling that she only said this becuase she wants me to amke a move, but im not sure. I have her screenname. what would be the best way to pursue this carefully, and if i did it through AIM, how would i initiate and hold the conversation without it getting awkward because we havent talked. Thanks for the help.Opinions/advice needed on a girl problem. Any help??
First off, is this girl is someone of potential interest to you. It may be fine that she is crushing on you, but it is not a good sign that she is using intermediaries like your friends to let you know. That is a big sign of immaturity, and I'm presuming that a potentially unstable relationship may not be what you're looking for right now.
If you are going away to attend college in the fall, then my advice is that you are going to be shoulder deep in legal aged college women in a couple of months, so I would give this under aged high school girl a pass if I were in your shoes. There is nothing worse for a young man than being tied down to a girl you can only see a couple times a year when cute single women are all around at college.
However, if you are not making any major plans for college, and are open to starting a non-intimate relationship with this girl in hopes it could develop into something important to you both when she is of legal age, then send her a message asking for a phone number. If she replies with a number, give her a call and start talking. Let her know you like her to, and want to go out somewhere together soon.
It is important that you treat her with respect. If she doesn't like you for it, then she is not the kind of girl you want to be dating. If she appreciates the respect you give, and you have a good time together, you may well have found a girl who is well worth your time to date. I hope this works out for you.
