I've found that many Microsoft sites don't show correctly in Mozilla, like Windows Update. Be sure to update to the latest version of Mozilla (2.x) and that may take care of it. Meanwhile, check out the link below for more info about Hotmail and Mozilla. Please help..I haven't been to bed yet..messing with computer problem for hours..need advice badly..so frustra

Try another browser, like Opera... if you still have problems then reinstall windows
I think you need to try and do one thing at a time. That way it may be easier to diagnose the problem. I'll suggest the following:
1. Uninstall Firefox using ';add/remove programs'; from the Windows control panel
2. Run your virus checker and also an adware remover, in fact run two - Adaware (www.lavasoft.de) and Spybot (not sure the url for it).
3. Restart the PC
4. Download a fresh copy of Firefox and try an install.
By restoring the system you may be just complicating things. If this doesn't work then I think you need to find some local help.
Persevere with Firefox as it will save a lot of problems visiting some sites. I only use IE if the web site doesn't comply with W3C HTTP standards (like Miscrosoft).
Listen IE is the most popular web browser so lots of web page and ISP supports IE. I used to use opera oneday i went to a website they told to visit the site through IE to see everything in it. Use IE 7 its gr8.
